About Sacred Moments Press

Sacred Moments Press is a small independent press rooted in caregiving, connection, memory, dignity, and the sacred beauty of ordinary life.

Founded and stewarded by Naomi Gennevieve Baker, the press grew from years spent listening—to elders, caregivers, families, advocates, neighbors, artists, writers, and ordinary people carrying extraordinary lives. It is a place for work that deserves to be seen, felt, given voice, and held.

We are small by design.

We are less interested in volume than in meaning.

We are less interested in rushing work into the world than in helping it arrive with care, clarity, and intention.

What we publish, make, and preserve

Some Sacred Moments Press projects become books. Others begin as essays, photographs, journals, letters, artwork, memories, poems, research, or family archives that need thoughtful preservation and form.

The press also creates and publishes fine-art studies, folded cards, journals, prints, small collections, and other thoughtful objects made to be shared, written in, kept, noticed, or passed forward. We do not see these as separate from the work of publishing. They are another way of giving language, image, memory, and attention a durable place in the world.

Across all of these forms, we return to the same questions: What should be preserved? Who created it? What story does it carry? Who holds the rights? And how can it move forward without losing what made it worth saving?

The Sacred Moments Press shop

Our shop gathers the quieter, tangible side of the press: greeting cards, fine-art studies and prints, journals, and other small pieces created with the same care we bring to our books and preservation work.

Our family-and-friends soft opening is beginning with a deliberately small first collection. Some pieces begin with original photographs or family archives; others grow from watercolor, illustration, observation, and collaborative creative work. We preserve the story of how each piece came to be as carefully as we consider how it will be printed and shared.

Stewardship in every form

We believe stories deserve more than exposure. They deserve stewardship.

Every project is approached thoughtfully, with attention to human voice, accessibility, authorship, provenance, permissions, and the relationships surrounding the work. The form may be a book, a card, a study, a journal, a print, or an archive; the responsibility remains the same.

If you are an author, artist, creator, or family member wondering whether Sacred Moments Press might be a fit, read more about how we work. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning a conversation.

Thank you for visiting. You’re welcome here.
